The term personal development gets thrown around a lot?
When you have a problem people say, ow there is a book to help with that? or have you worked on that? But what does that actually mean?
When someone first said to me,have you done any personal growth? I didn't have a clue what they meant, I actually didn't have any idea where to start.
I was directed and lead to the first steps I took, but I wouldn't have taken them without someone holding my hand in that process, so I wanted to share this blog to be the one holding your hand, to be the one guiding you to take those first steps in your personal growth.
But before I do that I wanted to actually share what personal development is.....
"Personal development is the process of improving oneself through conscious habits and activities."
But where do you actually start? It is so easy for us to get stuck in our daily lives and not actually do any work towards improving ourselves and make any new changes to our habits and activities. It is like being stuck at the bottom of the mountain but never actually taking the step up towards the top where we see that better version of ourselves.

So today I want to give you some guidance on how to take that first step up the mountain. However the first step is to actually decide you want to make these changes, then its about taking that action to create these new habits.
Here are 5 new habits you can take to help you on your personal development journey.
Write your gratitude's/thankful list each day, this will make you grateful and appreciate the small things in life.
Read a self development book, podcast or join a community group associated with personal development, this will give you the opportunity to learn and grow.
Surround yourself with like minded women who want to have positive engaging conversations.
Be cautious of the words you use, changing your vocabulary can help you when it comes to manifestation and positive mindset.
Write in your journal, if you need some prompts then there is 30 day journal prompts available here. - Journaling is a great tool to help you work through blocks and open your mind to the subconscious.
The one thing I have learnt the most during my journey is there is a book for pretty much everything, which can be overwhelming when you first start. Like I said earlier I am here to hold your hand on this journey so I wanted to give you 5 book recommendations which I have used throughout my journey.

Actually taking that first step up the mountain is what counts, so make that choice. It doesn't matter how long it takes you to get to the top. But taking one step and making that one change in your personal growth is all you need to get started.
Make your choice.
But remember you are worthy of reaching your full potential.
